Greetings! We want to welcome to the 4th Annual K.S.U. Vocal Arts Day! This is the largest Vocal Arts Day event to date with over 500 musicians from across the state of Kansas in celebration of power of vocal music. This page will answer most of your questions about the event, and provide you with additional information that will be helpful to you. If you have additional questions, do please contact us. FAQ's
__WHAT SHOULD WE WEAR? Students should dress comfortably. The VAD T-Shirt will be worn throughout the day as well as the performance. Most will choose to walk for lunch (approximately 5-10 mins.) so please prepare for weather.
WHERE DO WE PARK AND MEET? Registrants will park in the McCain Auditorium lot. Registration will be at the lower level of McCain Auditorium (signs will be posted) Upon registration, students will go directly to All-Faiths Chapel (located next door to McCain) Please plan your arrival time so you can be registered by 9:30.
WHAT DO WE DO FOR LUNCH? Most students will choose to experience "Aggieville." K-State's own mini "downtown" area with shops and food! There are approximately 20 restaurants here to choose from, ranging in prices from fast-food to more upscale fare.About the final concert.
WHAT IS PROVIDED? VAD-Shirt Music, Folders, Pencils, Maps, and name tags. If students would like to bring a water bottle, they may do so. Only closed containers with water are allowed on KSU facilities. In addition, cell-phone use is not allowed during any VAD events. If they are used during any event, they will no longer be allowed to participate.
OTHER POLICIES? Any other behavior or actions deemed disrespectful or inappropriate by the VAD staff will also be cause for removal. Cellphones....don't use it except during lunch or you will be excluded from the days events immediately.
The concert should end approximately 7:00pm. There will be an opportunity to order a CD recording of the concert. There will be an order-form included in the student packets. CD's will cost $5.00 ea.
