The Kansas State University Summer Choral Institute, now in its 34th year is one of the most unique opportunities in the country.

Sponsored by the Master Teacher Institute for the Arts students accepted into S.C.I. receive a full scholarship which covers all expenses (tuition, music, room, board, admissions etc.) for the institute.  

Current sophomore and junior students from across the country are selected based on application and audition and spend 6 nights and 7 days on the campus of Kansas State University in rehearsals, performances, masterclasses, activities, and leadership development. 

This year's institute will be June 3rd - 9th. Applications are being accepted now through April 23rd.

Audition Types
Students may audition by either option below: 
a) Live Audition

b) Recording submission via mp3. Now through 5:00pm April 23rd.

Audition requirements
Application form submission. Sing one contest appropriate piece (folk-song, art-song, aria). Demonstrate vocal range

Audition timeline
All applicants will receive email notification  by Sunday April 29th.  Students will need to accept or decline offers by Wednesday May, 2.. 

Selected students
Students will receive music and practice files one month before arriving to camp and are responsible for preparing music before arrival.
