                                        Dr. Joshua Oppenheim became Co-Director of Choral Activities at Kansas State University in 2008. From 2006-2008 he was on faculty at the Crane School of Music where he conducted the 75-voice Crane Men’s Ensemble, the Potsdam Community Choir and the 150-voice Crane Chorus and Orchestra. He also taught undergraduate and graduate courses in choral conducting and literature. While at Crane, the Crane Men’s Ensemble was invited to perform at the New York State School Music Association Convention in Rochester, NY.  He received his B.M. in Choral Conducting from Western Michigan University. After successful teaching in elementary, middle and high schools in Michigan, he was a Teaching Fellow at the University of Mississippi where he earned his M.M. in Choral Conducting. He subsequently served as director of the Music Department at Arkansas State University-Beebe, before beginning his D.M.A. in Choral Conducting at the University of North Texas.  He has presented sessions at numerous ACDA conferences in California, Colorado, Connecticut, Georgia, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina as well as the Western and Southwestern Divisional ACDA conventions

                                        Dr. Julie Yu is Co-Director of Choral Activities at Kansas State University where she oversees 6 choral ensembles and teaches undergraduate and graduate choral conducting.  Dr. Yu holds a Bachelor of Music degree in music education from the University of Central Oklahoma, Master of Music degree in choral conducting from Oklahoma State University, and the Doctorate of Musical Arts degree in choral conducting from the University of North Texas.
                                        Before joining the Kansas State faculty, Dr. Yu was the Director of Choral Activities at San José State University, director of the Women's Chorus and instructor of conducting at the University of North Texas and choir director at Norman North High School in Norman, Oklahoma.  She has conducted honor choirs in Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, Virginia, and Germany.  She has given presentations at the Southwest American Choral Directors Association and the European Music Educators Association Conventions.  She also serves as Repertoire and Standards Chair for Youth and Student Activities for the Southwest American Choral Directors Association.
